Shadow board magnets originated from a medical device customer. The customer wanted to mount shadow boards vertically in a milling machine’s application. At the time, our smallest end-mill was 6MM, but they had several smaller Allen wrenches. To solve the problem, they embedded earth magnets into the foam behind the Allen wrenches to hold them securely in place. Since then, we have adopted the idea and made it a standard accessory in our offerings.

Over time, we have perfected our magnet insert and created a solution that is strong and long lasting.
